CAMEL HERDERS IN RAJASTHAN

The annual Kartik Mela, also known as the Pushkar Camel Fair is one of India’s largest livestock fairs. 

The fair attracts hundreds of traditional Rabadi nomadic herders across Rajasthan selling and buying thousands of camels, cattle, sheep, and goats. 

The increase in cultural tourism has begun exposing previously sheltered communities to western tourists.
