HAWKER

STREET VENDORS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PYRAMID
Hawkers are the cornerstones of developing markets. The majority lack social protection, employment rights, and decent working conditions. There are 2 billion people working informally in the world. Up to 80 percent of people in developing countries work in the informal sector.
In emerging countries like India and developing countries like Myanmar, street vendors provide convenient roadside access to goods, services, and jobs for their communities ranging from: fresh produce, to sharp haircuts, to sous chefs.
These people are deeply rooted in their local communities. Hawkers support their families by spending all their time trying to support yours.
